CONSECRATION OF RUSSIA AND UKRAINE TO OUR LADY OF FATIMA
AUGUST 15, 2023: THE SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY
The Church observes this Solemn day as a Holy Day of Obligation. We contemplate on the glory of God and exalt his greatness for the wonders He worked in Mary, giving us through her our Savior to redeem the whole human race from sin and death and bring us to Eternal Life.
It is fitting therefore for the Church to echo her song of thanksgiving and honor the mystery of her Assumption:'Body and Soul to Heaven'.
We will have two Masses celebrated in the Church:
- 9:00am in English and
- 6:00pm Bilingual in English and Spanish.

The Parish Stewardship Committee endeavors to maintain, conserve and enhance the beauty and integrity of Saint John the Evangelist Church. We wish to preserve the unique architecture of the Church and honor the people who built it in 1893. Our goal is to capture and secure its original conceptual format while making necessary impovements and maintain it for generations to come.
Facing that challenge, the Parish Stewardship committee has focussed its attention on two major projects, replacing the Exterior Doors of the Church and installing a new Heating System.
At the last meeting, the committee proposed the following designs for the exterior doors of the Church.
NEW HEATING SYSTEM FOR THE CHURCH
The Parish Stewarship Committee, your Pastor and the Real Property Support Corporation [Buillding & Construction] of the Archdiocese are pleased to announce to you that a brand new Peerless Steam Boiler for the Heating system has been installed in the Church.
We thank all of you for stepping up to advocate and support the stewardship of the Church of St. John the Evangelist and generously contribute towards the installation of this new heating system. It is our hope that the system will work to keep us warm while in the church and serve us well for a long time.
